2nd Shift - Process Technician/Supervisor - Plastics Injection Molding

2nd Shift - Lead Process Technician - Plastics Injection Molding ( 3pm to 12 midnight M-F with OT as needed)

Reports to:

Plant Manager / Shift Supervisor

Job purpose:

The purpose of the Process Tech is to help the Production Manager and each Shift Supervisor in the day to day operations to include mold changes and the processing of each job. Also responsible to be a back up for both the Material Handler and Shift Supervisor.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Cross trained Material Handler position
• Cross trained Shift Supervisor position

Tasks specific to the process technician's primary responsibilities...

• Complete mold changes as directed.
• Complete injection mold preventative maintenance as directed.
• Review each process at the press for optimization and associated documentation of actual process data.
• Press alarm answering and rectification of alarms as required.
• Maintain a working knowledge of all injection molding machines and related auxiliary equipment operation.
• Troubleshoot molding defect causes and remedy any issue using a systematic approach to process changes.
• Maintain clean, organized and safe work areas
• 5S
• Understanding and implementation of company goals and objectives
• Understanding the quality expectations of the parts molded
• Maintain clean, organized and safe work areas

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED Recipient
• Excellent attendance
• Positive Attitude
• Prior experience as an injection molding process technician
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Basic mathematics skills
• Safe working practices

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour

Experience: Manufacturing: 3 years (Required)

Shift availability:

• 2nd Shift (4pm-12 midnight M-F with OT as needed)

Ability to Commute: Brighton, MI 48116 (Required)

Work Location: In person
