Schedule: 8-Hour Day Shift (40 Hours/Week) | Monday Friday | 8:00 AM 5:00 PM

Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Diagnostic Cardiology Department. This position supports advanced cardiac diagnostic testing and procedures in a fast-paced, patient- and family-focused academic medical center.
First-time travelers are accepted.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience with cardiac patients
- Previous experience in cardiac diagnostics strongly preferred
- First-time travelers accepted
Patient Population & Common Diagnoses Common Patient Types
- Heart Failure Patients
- Cardiac Diagnostic Patients
- Chemotherapy Evaluation Patients
- Renal Transplant Evaluation Patients
- Transthoracic Echocardiograms (TTE)
- Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE)
- Stress Testing
- Stress Echocardiography
- Dobutamine Stress Echocardiography
Department Volume Average Daily Volumes Across All Locations
- Comprehensive TTE Studies: Approximately 110 per day
- Stress Echo/Dobutamine Stress Echo/Nuclear Cardiology/Tilt Table Testing: Approximately 14 per day
- TEE Studies: Approximately 5 6 per day
Required Certifications Required
- Active RN License
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
Required Skills
Candidates must be proficient in:
- Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) Support
- Stress Testing
- EKG Interpretation
- IV Management
- Cardioversion Support
- Mild/Conscious Sedation
- Infusion Administration
- Cardiac Patient Assessment and Monitoring
Support Within the Department Leadership & Education
- Dedicated Cardiac Ultrasound Educator
- Chief Sonographer
- 19 Echo Technologists (including satellite locations)
- 5 Registered Nurses
- 2 Exercise Physiologists
Technology & Equipment EMR
- EPIC (Encompass)
- Philips Echocardiography Systems
- Client Echo Systems
- Client CASE Stress Lab Equipment
- Philips ISCV Reporting System for Echo Documentation
Floating Requirements
- No floating required
Orientation Hospital Orientation
- New Employee Orientation (NEO)
- 2 Days of Department-Specific Training
