We are seeking an experienced Civil Site Development Superintendent to lead field operations on heavy civil construction projects. This role is responsible for managing daily site activities, supervising crews and subcontractors, coordinating equipment and materials, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

The ideal candidate has at least 6-7 yrs experience with site development, underground utilities, earthwork, grading, concrete, and project scheduling, along with a proven ability to lead multiple crews in a fast-paced construction environment. If this describes YOU, please apply ASAP.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all daily field operations from mobilization through project completion.
  • Supervise field personnel, subcontractors, and equipment.
  • Plan and schedule manpower, equipment, and materials.
  • Coordinate inspections and maintain project schedules.
  • Read and interpret civil plans, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Verify elevations, grades, and layout.
  • Oversee installation of underground utilities, including storm, sanitary sewer, water, and force main systems.
  • Manage earthwork, grading, concrete, curb, sidewalk, slabs, and structures.
  • Monitor production goals and track daily quantities.
  • Maintain quality control and ensure work meets project specifications.
  • Lead daily safety meetings and enforce OSHA standards.
  • Resolve field issues and utility conflicts.
  • Communicate project progress with the Project Manager.
  • Mentor Foremen and field personnel to maximize productivity and performance.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of civil site development experience.
  • 3+ years as a Superintendent or Lead Superintendent.
  • Proven experience managing multiple crews and subcontractors.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Underground utilities (storm, sanitary, water; force main preferred)
    • Earthwork and grading
    • Concrete construction
    • Site development operations
  • Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and specifications.
  • Experience with scheduling, production tracking, and daily reporting.
  • Thorough understanding of OSHA regulations and safe work practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • GPS machine control experience.
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam, Procore, HCSS, and Trimble.
  • Drone documentation for project progress.
  • Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) experience.
  • Utility conflict identification and resolution.
