We are seeking a detail-oriented, and proactive Commercial Real Estate Legal Paralegal to join our transactional practice group. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive administrative and transactional support to our commercial real estate team across all phases of the acquisition, construction, and funding of 504 loans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transaction & Document Support: Draft, proofread, format, and revise commercial real estate documents, including deeds, mortgages, leases, promissory notes, and closing statements.
  • Due Diligence & Public Records: Conduct electronic searches, file documents, and retrieve records from county Registries of Deeds, the Secretary of State's office, and local municipal offices (planning boards, zoning boards, and tax collectors).
  • Closing Management: Assist in organizing closing checklists, compiling digital and physical closing binders, preparing signature packets, and coordinating post-closing recording and entity maintenance workflows.
  • Communication & Liaison: Serve as a professional point of contact for clients, lenders, title companies, opposing counsel, surveyors, and municipal officials.
  • Calendar & Practice Management: Manage attorney calendars, coordinate scheduling for meetings and closings, track critical transaction milestones, and organize email folders.
  • File & Record Maintenance: Maintain orderly physical and electronic matter files using the firm’s document management and practice management software.
  • Administrative Duties: Perform general office administration tasks as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree required; a paralegal certificate is a strong plus.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat (including the ability to create bookmarked, searchable PDF closing books). Experience with legal practice management software is a plus.
