Pediatric Medical Assistant – Team-Based Care

Westside Pediatric Clinic is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pediatric Medical Assistant to partner directly with one of our pediatricians in delivering exceptional patient care. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, anticipates provider needs, and values working as part of a cohesive care team.

We are a PCPCH Tier 4 medical home committed to excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Located near Providence St. Vincent Medical Center, our clinic fosters a supportive environment where team members actively contribute to efficient workflows and high-quality patient experiences.

The ideal candidate has pediatric experience, enjoys working with children and families, and demonstrates strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with a pediatrician to support daily patient care, anticipating needs and ensuring smooth patient flow
  • Prepare patients and exam rooms for visits, procedures, and treatments
  • Assist the provider during exams and procedures with efficiency and accuracy
  • Administer medications and perform clinical tasks within scope of practice
  • Perform point-of-care testing, basic lab procedures, phlebotomy, and quality controls
  • Accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record (PCC)
  • Track, route, and follow up on test results to ensure timely provider review
  • Manage and maintain inventory of medical and clinical supplies
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, providers, and team members
  • Process orders and complete tasks accurately and efficiently
  • Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment and support clinic operations as needed

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (Required)
  • Current national certification (AAMA, RMA, NCCT, or equivalent) (Required)
  • Ability to work in the United States (Required)
  • Minimum 6 months experience in a pediatric or family practice setting (Preferred)
  • At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (Preferred)
  • Bilingual Spanish (Preferred)
