About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and proactive Medical Assistant to join our growing clinical team. This hybrid role combines direct patient care with administrative responsibilities to support the day-to-day operations of our outpatient psychiatry practice.

As part of this role, you will also support our Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) program as a TMS Technician, working closely with our providers to deliver innovative, evidence-based treatments for patients.

Responsibilities
Clinical Responsibilities

• Welcome and room patients for psychiatric evaluations and follow-up appointments
• Obtain vital signs and prepare patients for visits
• Assist providers during clinical procedures and treatments
• Administer and monitor Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) treatments in accordance with physician-directed protocols
• Monitor patient comfort throughout treatment sessions and communicate any concerns to the clinical team
• Educate patients on treatment expectations and clinic procedures
• Accurately document patient information, treatment details, and clinical notes in the EMR

Administrative Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate appointments for multiple providers and specialized treatments
• Serve as a welcoming first point of contact for patients, referrals, and incoming inquiries
• Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records
• Prepare treatment rooms, stock clinical supplies, and support daily clinic operations
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional clinical environment
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, infection control, and office policies

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a clinical healthcare setting required
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate, patient-centered approach
• Professional, dependable, detail-oriented, and able to exercise sound judgment
• Ability to work collaboratively with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, therapists, and administrative staff
• Interest in psychiatry, mental health, and innovative treatments such as TMS

Compensation
Pay: $25.00 per hour
