South Tampa Immediate Care is an independently owned urgent care practice focused on providing high-quality, compassionate care to our community. We are looking for a confident, team-oriented FNP or PA who enjoys treating a variety of acute illnesses and injuries while working alongside an experienced clinical team.


Position Details

  • Full-time position
  • 12-hour shifts
  • Every other weekend required

Qualifications

  • Current Florida APRN license with Family Nurse Practitioner certification OR current Florida Physician Assistant license
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a practicing FNP or PA
  • Family Practice, Primary Care, Emergency Medicine, or Urgent Care experience required
  • Urgent Care experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with Experity EMR is a strong plus
  • DEA registration and current BLS/ACLS, or ability to obtain as required

Typical Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages
  • Perform procedures commonly seen in urgent care
  • Order and interpret laboratory and imaging studies
  • Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans within applicable scope of practice
  • Recognize patients requiring a higher level of care and coordinate appropriate transfer
  • Document accurately and efficiently in the EMR
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment, and follow-up care
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, medical assistants, and other members of the clinical team
