Job Type: Part-Time (20 Hours/Week)

About the Position


Southern Healthcare Services is seeking a compassionate and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) to provide one-on-one skilled nursing care for a medically fragile infant in the home setting. This part-time position offers 20 hours per weekwith a consistent schedule through October 31, 2026.

The infant, born prematurely in September 2025, has been under Southern Healthcare Services' care since January and has made remarkable progress. As a result, the level of skilled nursing required is relatively light, making this an excellent opportunity for a nurse who enjoys caring for infants while providing ongoing skilled assessments and family support.


Schedule

We are looking for a nurse to cover:

  • two 10-hour daytime shifts per week


Days are flexible and can be coordinated based on nurse availability and family needs.


Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one skilled nursing care in the home
  • Perform respiratory assessments and ongoing monitoring
  • Monitor for apnea, bradycardia, or changes in condition
  • Assist with bottle feedings and feeding assessments
  • Provide routine infant care, including diaper changes
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered
  • Educate and support caregivers
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Communicate changes in condition with the healthcare team


Qualifications

  • Active Georgia Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification
  • Experience with infants or pediatric home health preferred
  • Strong assessment and documentation skills
  • Compassionate, dependable, and family-centered approach to care
  • Must wear a mask for the entire duration of each shift due to the infant's medical history
