We are seeking a Calibration Technician to join our team in Shirley, Massachusetts. In this role, you will calibrate, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair precision electronic test equipment while ensuring compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 quality standards. You will work alongside experienced technicians using specialized instrumentation in a laboratory environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Calibrate EMC and ESD measurement and test equipment by compiling, measuring, and documenting calibration data.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain EMC and ESD systems.
  • Follow company ISO/IEC 17025 accredited calibration and repair procedures.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on precision electronic equipment.
  • Maintain accurate calibration records and documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure timely, high-quality customer service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, high-voltage probes, power supplies, or similar instrumentation.
  • Understanding of electronic circuits and high-voltage systems is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 or other calibration standards is a plus.
  • Proficiency with computers and calibration or data-entry software.
  • Ability to safely work around high-voltage equipment.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, organized, and eager to learn.

Education & Experience

One or more of the following is preferred:

  • Military electronics training (PMEL or equivalent)
  • Associate degree or technical degree in Electronics or Electronics Engineering Technology
  • Two or more years of experience in electronics, instrumentation, calibration, testing, or repair of electronic equipment

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and perform bench work throughout the workday.
