District Manager for Popular Sandwich Shop

Position Summary

The District Manager is responsible for the operating and financial performance of a group of restaurants. The DM leads and develops General Managers, ensures consistent execution of company standards, identifies performance gaps, and holds each GM accountable for staffing, operations, customer experience, food safety, sales, labor, food cost, facilities, and profitability.

The District Manager should not routinely perform the General Manager's responsibilities for them. The DM's role is to establish expectations, inspect results, coach the GM, remove obstacles, require corrective action, and follow up until the issue is resolved.

This is a field-based leadership role requiring frequent store visits, regular communication with General Managers, strong operational judgment, and the ability to develop leaders across multiple locations.

Qualifications

· Significant multi-unit restaurant leadership experience.

· Prior experience as a successful General Manager strongly preferred.

· Demonstrated ability to coach and hold managers accountable across multiple locations.

· Strong understanding of restaurant operations, staffing, scheduling, food safety, inventory, labor management, customer service, and financial performance.

· Ability to interpret restaurant financial statements and convert results into operating actions.

· Strong written documentation, communication, training, and conflict-management skills.

· Comfortable using restaurant technology, reporting systems, inventory platforms, scheduling tools, and digital communication.

· Ability to travel regularly between assigned restaurants and work during evenings or weekends when operating conditions require it.

· Manager-level food-safety certification and a valid driver's license.
