Visual Inspection Technician (Thin-Film)

Thin-Film Visual Inspection / Manufacturing Operator

Test and measurement equipment manufacturer seeks a Manufacturing Operator to support inspection and handling of precision-fabricated thin film components. This role requires strong attention to detail, good manual dexterity, and the ability to work with delicate ceramic or glass parts in a manufacturing environment.

Location: Morgan Hill, CA

Duration: Contract-to-perm for the right fit

Schedule: M-F day shift (8am-4:30pm)

Pay: $22-25/hr

Responsibilities include:

• Perform visual inspection of fabricated parts using microscopes
• Inspect components for defects, contamination, or quality issues
• Handle fragile ceramic and glass devices using tweezers and precision tools
• Follow work instructions and standard operating procedures
• Record inspection results and report defects when identified
• Maintain clean and organized work area while following quality standards
• This position will be reporting to the Fab Supervisor based in Morgan Hill.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in manufacturing, assembly, or inspection preferred
• Comfortable working under a microscope for extended periods
• Ability to handle small, delicate components with care and precision
• Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination
• Experience in semiconductor, electronics, or precision manufacturing is a plus
• Works well in a team-oriented environment
• Demonstrates good communication skills and can clearly report issues or concerns
• Able to read, understand, and follow instructions in English
• Dependable, responsible, and consistent in following procedures
• Maintains a positive attitude and willingness to learn
