Long-Term Substitute Custodian at Wells High School

POSITION: Long-Term Substitute Custodian - Wells High School, to begin as soon as possible. Full time, temporary.

QUALIFICATIONS: Maine Department of Education Criminal History Record Check (CHRC/Fingerprinting) Certification

EDUCATION: High school graduate or such alternative qualifications as the School Committee may find appropriate and acceptable.

JOB GOAL: To provide students, staff, and the community at large with safe, clean, attractive, comfortable, and efficient buildings and grounds in which to learn, play and engage in personal growth and development.

Special Knowledge/Skills: Candidate must possess strong organizational skills, the ability to work alone and with others and handle multiple activities in a fast paced environment. Candidate must have the ability to maintain positive relations with students, school personnel, supervisors and citizens at all times. Candidate must have knowledge of, or be willing to learn about chemicals, asbestos management, pesticides, indoor air quality and safety and material safety data sheets. Candidate must have demonstrated aptitude or competence in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, vehicle and grounds repairs. Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license.

Experience: Demonstrated aptitude or competence for successful fulfillment of assigned performance responsibilities.

Pay Range: $22.39-$29.58/hour
