Independent Pet Groomer / Pet Stylist (Client Booking Platform)

Thee Grooming Genie LLC is a premium, client-matching platform serving the broader Tampa Bay area. We handle the heavy lifting of running a business—local marketing, client acquisition, booking logistics, and customer support—so independent pet stylists can focus entirely on what they do best: providing a calm, professional grooming experience.

Because we operate as a platform, you partner with us as a fully independent professional. You choose your own service areas, set your own availability, and have complete freedom to accept or decline appointment offers.

Compensation & Earnings

70/30 Split: You keep 70% of the base service revenue; the platform retains a 30% fee to cover booking software, credit card processing, and marketing.

Travel & Mileage Fees: For mobile appointments, 100% of the client travel fee (calculated using the IRS standard business mileage rate of $0.725 per mile for 2026) goes directly to the groomer. This fee does not apply to drop-off appointments.

Tips: 100% of tips go directly to you.

Bi-Weekly Payouts: Fast, direct payouts for all completed platform appointments.

What the Platform Provides

Steady Stream of Clients: We actively market to pet parents in your preferred zones to fill your schedule.

Hands-Off Logistics: We handle the booking system, customer service, secure payment processing, and enforce cancellation and no-speed policies to protect your time and minimize revenue loss.

Total Scheduling Freedom: Work as much or as little as you want, completely on your own terms.

Service Methods & Standards

Flexible Setup: Services are provided via two methods:

Mobile Grooming: Services performed at the client's specified location.

Drop-off Grooming: Services performed at your private residential facility.

Health & Safety Discretion: You have full authority to assess pet health, behavior, and temperament. Core procedures such as nail cutting/grinding and ear cleaning are included unless the process is deemed too stressful or dangerous. You reserve the right to halt, modify, or refuse service if a pet poses a safety risk.

Requirements for Independent Stylists

Professional Grooming Experience: You must be a skilled groomer capable of working independently with dogs, cats, and small animals. A portfolio or photos of past work is required.

Your Own Setup & Tools: You must utilize your own reliable transportation and bring your own professional core tools (clippers, shears, high-velocity dryer, etc.) and consumable supplies.

Business Essentials: Must carry or be willing to obtain your own professional liability insurance.

Service Area

Our current platform client base covers the broader Tampa Bay region, including Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, and Polk counties. You can choose to accept appointments across the entire region or specify your own preferred local travel radius!
