Anatomical Laboratory Specialist

Job Summary:
The Anatomical Laboratory Specialist provides essential support to anatomical and medical research environments. This role is responsible for specimen handling, laboratory compliance, and operational assistance in accordance with medical and federal standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical assistance in anatomical and medical laboratory functions
• Handle, manage, and maintain anatomical specimens and lab equipment
• Ensure compliance with lab safety protocols, documentation standards, and regulations
• Maintain lab inventory, tracking, and operational procedures
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders including museum and medical personnel
• Support sensitive and high-integrity tasks with professionalism and discretion
• Comply with all NMHM, DHA, and federal workplace requirements

Qualifications:

• Experience in anatomical, biological, or research laboratory environments
• Proficient knowledge of laboratory safety and specimen handling
• Detail-oriented with ability to follow strict procedures and documentation standards
• Experience in federal or regulated environments preferred
• Must be able to pass a federal background investigation
• Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred (Biology, Anatomy, Medical Sciences, or related field)
