Auto Technician Mechanic

Auto Technicians specializing in emission testing and engine diagnostics play a critical role in ensuring vehicles comply with environmental standards and operate efficiently. Working independently within a small team of 2-5 technicians, they focus primarily on standard gasoline and diesel vehicles, utilizing diagnostic scanners and emission testing equipment to identify and resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform emission testing to ensure vehicles meet regulatory standards
• Use diagnostic scanners to identify engine and system faults
• Troubleshoot engine performance issues and recommend repairs
• Analyze engine data to assess emission system functionality

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in automotive repair
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficient with emission testing equipment and diagnostic scanners
• Strong knowledge of engine performance analysis and troubleshooting
