Macleay Law Firm, LLC is seeking a Workers' Compensation Paralegal to support its legal team in delivering timely, client-focused case work in Annapolis, MD.

Position Summary

The Workers' Compensation Paralegal will assist attorneys with managing case files and supporting day-to-day litigation and administrative tasks related to workers’ compensation matters. This role is essential to ensuring accuracy, organization, and responsiveness throughout the life of each case.

You will work closely with legal professionals and clients to gather information, maintain documentation, and coordinate deadlines, while upholding confidentiality and professionalism in a fast-paced legal environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist attorneys with preparing and organizing case documentation, including correspondence, filings, and supporting records

  • Maintain and update case files to ensure completeness, accuracy, and proper document handling

  • Support intake and fact-gathering by collecting information from clients and coordinating with relevant parties

  • Track deadlines and assist with scheduling by monitoring case timelines and next steps

  • Provide administrative and paralegal support to help ensure cases progress smoothly and efficiently

Required Qualifications
  • Paralegal experience or relevant legal support experience with workers’ compensation or similar legal matters

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in preparing and maintaining legal documents

  • Professional communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal teams

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and sound judgment

Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with workers’ compensation claim processes, hearings, or related legal procedures

  • Experience supporting attorney-driven litigation workflows and document-intensive case work

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating closely with legal counsel and staff

  • Comfort working in a deadline-driven environment with frequent shifting priorities
