Laundry Aide

Responsibilities Include:

• Collect soiled linens and resident clothing from designated areas

• Sort laundry according to fabric type, color, and washing requirements

• Operate washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently

• Fold, label, and distribute clean laundry to residents and departments

• Inspect linens and clothing for damage and report items needing repair or replacement

• Follow infection control and safety procedures when handling soiled laundry

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of laundry room and equipment

• Monitor and report equipment malfunctions to supervisor

• Ensure proper use of detergents, chemicals, and supplies

• Respect resident privacy and handle personal clothing with care

• Assist with inventory of linens and laundry supplies as needed

Minimum Requirements:

• Written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to respect all members of the healthcare team

• Solid work history with excellent attendance and punctuality

• Patience, understanding and compassion for those requiring our care
