Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Logistics & Fleet Manager to oversee our fleet and warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in NVOCC, procure, Warehouse management system, Supply chain management, Inventory management, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fleet Management:
- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and replacement of the company’s fleet of vehicles and construction equipment.
- Implement and monitor preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend the life of vehicles and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding fleet operations and safety.
- Coordinate with project managers to ensure the availability of vehicles and equipment for projects.
- Manage fuel and maintenance costs to achieve budgetary goals.
- Warehouse Management:
- Supervise daily operations of the construction warehouse, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials and equipment.
- Ensure accurate inventory management, including regular cycle counts and inventory audits.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflow to enhance efficiency and safety.
- Implement and enforce warehouse safety protocols and procedures.
- Coordinate with procurement to manage inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed.
- Staff Supervision:
- Lead and manage a team of warehouse and fleet maintenance staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and collaboration.
- Provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities for staff to enhance skills and performance.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and enhance service delivery.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of fleet maintenance, repairs, and inventory levels.
- Prepare regular reports on fleet and warehouse operations for senior management.
- Ensure all documentation is up to date and complies with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet and warehouse management, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle and equipment maintenance and repair.
- Proven ability to manage inventory and optimize warehouse operations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficient in using fleet management and inventory software.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily based in a warehouse environment with frequent visits to job sites.
- May require occasional travel to various locations.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and operate warehouse equipment.
