Warehouse & Fleet Manager

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Logistics & Fleet Manager to oversee our fleet and warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in NVOCC, procure, Warehouse management system, Supply chain management, Inventory management, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fleet Management:
• Oversee the maintenance, repair, and replacement of the company’s fleet of vehicles and construction equipment.
• Implement and monitor preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend the life of vehicles and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding fleet operations and safety.
• Coordinate with project managers to ensure the availability of vehicles and equipment for projects.
• Manage fuel and maintenance costs to achieve budgetary goals.
• Warehouse Management:
• Supervise daily operations of the construction warehouse, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials and equipment.
• Ensure accurate inventory management, including regular cycle counts and inventory audits.
• Optimize warehouse layout and workflow to enhance efficiency and safety.
• Implement and enforce warehouse safety protocols and procedures.
• Coordinate with procurement to manage inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed.
• Staff Supervision:
• Lead and manage a team of warehouse and fleet maintenance staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
• Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and collaboration.
• Provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities for staff to enhance skills and performance.
• Operational Efficiency:
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and enhance service delivery.
• Reporting and Documentation:
• Maintain accurate records of fleet maintenance, repairs, and inventory levels.
• Prepare regular reports on fleet and warehouse operations for senior management.
• Ensure all documentation is up to date and complies with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet and warehouse management, preferably in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle and equipment maintenance and repair.
• Proven ability to manage inventory and optimize warehouse operations.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Proficient in using fleet management and inventory software.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions:

• Primarily based in a warehouse environment with frequent visits to job sites.
• May require occasional travel to various locations.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and operate warehouse equipment.
