The Accountant is responsible for executing a variety of financial procedures, preparing company reports, and reviewing data to ensure financial compliance. This position reports to the Controller and works closely with other Dinges Fire team members on a daily basis.
Duties and responsibilities:
· Assist with month-end and year-end closings
· Complete account reconciliations
· Make general ledger entries
· Review financial data for accuracy
· Complete inventory cycle counts
· Research and resolve inventory variances
· Analyze, prepare and file sales tax returns
· Perform advanced Excel functions to organize data and create reports
· Other duties as assigned
Skills and qualifications:
· Associate’s or Bachelor's Degree
· At least 2 years’ experience in accounting or related field
· Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
· Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
· Ability to read and analyze financial reports
