Join a team that turns drawings into working shipboard systems. As a first-class marine sheet metal professional, you’ll be the go-to for precise layout, clean fabrication, and dependable installation across foundations, ventilation, bulkheads, and shipboard furniture.

Your Impact
  • Transform complex assembly drawings and blueprints—complete with weld symbols, material specs, and datum/reference lines—into accurate layouts
  • Fabricate and assemble piece parts that meet specification and quality standards
  • Install ventilation systems, structural foundations, bulkheads, and outfitting components aboard ship
  • Apply OSHA shipbuilding safety practices consistently in a physically demanding environment
Tools You’ll Handle
  • Hand tools: electric drills, grinders, rivet guns
  • Shop equipment: drill press, press brake (press break), shears
What You Bring
  • Minimum 3 years experience as a first-class Sheet Metal Worker in shipboard installation and sheet metal fabrication shop work
  • Fluency with fractional and decimal measurements; confident ruler use
  • Proven ability to lay out (layoff) and assemble piece parts to spec
  • Experience thriving in physically intensive shipyard settings
  • Familiarity with OSHA requirements for the shipbuilding industry
Preferred & Transferable Experience
  • Marine experience preferred
  • Aircraft, industrial, or commercial sheet metal backgrounds are fully applicable
Bonus Skills
  • Rigger/material handling
  • Mobile equipment operation (JLG, scissor lift, etc.)
