Batch Processing Technician – Mixing Operations A day in this role
You start your shift by reviewing the day’s batch instructions and verifying ingredients against formulas. You set up mixing and packaging equipment, confirm measurements, and document each step per SOPs. As blends run, you monitor quality checkpoints, record observations, and flag any deviations immediately. Between batches, you keep the floor orderly, stage materials for the next run, and update inventory counts. At times, you’ll be entrusted to operate independently in the facility, upholding our standards for safety, quality, and efficiency.
Important: This position requires wearing a respirator in mixing areas. A clean‑shaven face is required to ensure proper respirator fit.
What you’ll do - Run processing and packaging lines safely and efficiently.
- Follow batch sheets, formulas, and SOPs with precision and complete documentation.
- Confirm ingredient matches, read and record measurements, and perform basic math confidently.
- Continuously check product quality; promptly report and help resolve any issues or non‑conformances.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant workspace.
- Support inventory control and material handling activities.
- Adhere to all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Operate responsibly when working solo in the facility.
- Ability to wear a respirator in designated areas (clean‑shaven required).
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Comfort standing for extended periods.
- Capability to lift up to approximately 50 lbs.
- Reliability, responsibility, and integrity.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and curiosity to learn.
- Background in food manufacturing, chemical manufacturing, or related production settings.
- Exposure to environments like Vigon, Biospectra, Sanofi, Royal Chemical, or similar is a plus.
- Manufacturing and mixing setting with repetitive tasks.
- Regular standing, lifting, and movement throughout the day.
