Our client seeks a Software Quality Assurance professional to develop and execute verification strategies for manufacturing equipment, automation, and systems. The role will collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality to design, perform, and improve verification tests, define and document user needs and system requirements, and drive formal verification processes for both automated and manual test coverage.

Rate: $52.00 to $64.75/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
- Work with R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality to develop and execute software verification test approaches for manufacturing equipment, automation, and systems.
- Design, perform, and improve verification tests.
- Assist in defining, capturing, and documenting user needs and system requirements.
- Collaborate in a fast-paced team environment using agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban to deliver software against formal schedules.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement with peers.
- Use defect tracking and version control tools such as Jira and Git.
- Author verification plans, test protocols, test reports, and requirements traceability matrices in alignment with established SDLC methodology.
- Perform functional and integration testing on tool equipment in the manufacturing lab.
- Drive and improve the formal verification process.
- Lead the architecture, development, and execution of automated test suites and manual test cases.
- Maintain awareness of industry trends and evaluate new software testing technologies.
- Provide technical assistance for escalated production issues as needed.
- Work with external providers of automation and manufacturing equipment to ensure fit-for-purpose software that meets requirements.
- Participate in software requirement and design reviews.
- Experience developing and executing software verification tests for manufacturing equipment, automation, and systems.
- Hands-on background with test design, execution, and improvement.
- Experience documenting user needs and system requirements.
- Proven collaboration in agile environments using Scrum or Kanban with delivery to formal schedules.
- Proficiency with Jira and Git or comparable tools.
- Experience creating verification plans, test protocols, test reports, and RTMs within an SDLC framework.
- Background in functional and integration testing of lab or manufacturing tools.
- Experience leading automated and manual test development.
- Familiarity with evaluating emerging software testing technologies.
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate.
