SHIPPING CLERK
Monday - Friday
8:00 am - 4:00 pm
$17.00 per hour
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Prepare, package, and label products for shipment according to company and customer requirements.
- Verify shipping paperwork, including bills of lading, packing slips, and carrier documentation.
- Pick, stage, and process customer orders accurately and on time.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Track shipments and inventory movements using barcode scanners and warehouse management systems.
- Inspect outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with safety standards.
- Coordinate with production, warehouse, and transportation teams to meet shipping schedules.
- Communicate with carriers to schedule pickups and resolve shipping-related issues.
- Maintain organized shipping records and inventory documentation.
- Assist with general warehouse operations and other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documents, labels, and work orders.
- Experience operating forklifts and material-handling equipment preferred; certification or ability to obtain certification required.
- Basic computer skills and experience with inventory or warehouse systems preferred.
