Our Client is seeking a motivated professional to work as a Direct Support Professional- Trained Medication Employee (TME) in the Washington, DC area.SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY * Support persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including those with physical disability or medical and behavioral challenges* Assist Individuals with their daily activities, perform light housekeeping, run errands, and provide companionship* Provide a secure and responsive environment that enables Individuals to maximize their physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual capabilities* Provide independent living skills training, and guidance to residents regarding social skills, transportation, health and personal hygiene, food preparation, and housekeeping* Provide patient care, update records, and accurately complete forms * Transport and accompany to appointments, community events, and outingsCLIENT'S REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION* Successful candidates will have a passion for assisting others* Minimum of a High School Diploma or its equivalent * Medication Technician certification required* Demonstrated ability to follow written and/or oral instructions, administer medications, and document dosages and times.* Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record* Willingness and ability to interact with clients and Individuals in a positive manner within and throughout the community.COMPENSATION RATE: $20+/hourADVANTAGES* Establish a relationship with one of the nation's largest referral agencies for behavioral-health* Increase or decrease your schedule at your discretion: choose opportunities that best fit your schedule.* Compensation processed weekly* Access to a broad array of client opportunities* Ability to grow professionally
