The Episcopal Academy seeks an exceptional Head Girls' Softball Coach to lead and elevate one of our premier Upper School programs. This is a high-impact leadership role for a coach who values competitive excellence, player development, and education-based athletics.The Head Coach will oversee all aspects of the Upper School girls' softball program (Varsity, JV, and additional levels), ensuring a positive, demanding, and inclusive experience for all student-athletes. You can build and sustain a softball program across all levels - developing players, mentoring staff, and creating alignment from Middle School through Varsity. You value multi-sport participation, communicate with clarity and purpose, and foster a culture centered on growth, character, confidence, and competitive excellence.Key Responsibilities & QualificationsLead and manage all Upper School girls' softball teamsHire, develop, and lead a high-quality coaching staffDesign and implement effective, high-energy, skill-based practice plans at all levelsRecruit, retain, and develop student-athletes within an independent school settingSupervise contests, travel, and program logisticsDemonstrate a strong understanding of the rules and evolving strategies of interscholastic softballSupport and help grow Middle School and Lower School softball programmingCommunicate clearly and proactively with players, families, and school partnersWork closely with strength and conditioning coaches and athletic trainers to ensure student-athletes are physically prepared, healthy, and able to perform at their highest levelsReport scores and statistics to local media and school partnersCollaborate with varsity coaches to support multi-sport athletes and avoid seasonal conflictsOversee a mission-aligned social media presence that promotes the program and celebrates student-athletesBe a visible, active member of the school community who supports EA's mission and valuesQualificationsBachelor's degree requiredPlaying experience preferredMinimum of 3 years varsity-level coaching experience (or higher)Evening, weekend, and travel commitments are requiredTo ApplySubmit the following as separate PDFs Cover letterRésuméThree professional references (name, relationship, phone, email)Start date: September, 2026Application deadline: June 17, 2026
