Strategic Warehouse Inventory Manager
Job Description
SUMMARY:
The Strategic Warehouse Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing inventory operations across forward-staging warehouses to ensure timely distribution, cost efficiency, and alignment with organizational supply chain strategies. This role focuses on strategic planning, forecasting, and execution to maintain accurate inventory levels, minimize stockouts, and support forward deployment for customer and operational demands.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement inventory strategies for forward warehouses to support business growth, customer demand, and supply chain efficiency.
- Oversee inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and continuous process improvement.
- Monitor forward warehouse stock levels, safety stock, replenishment, and transfers to ensure product availability.
- Collaborate with supply chain, and logistics teams to optimize demand planning and reduce excess inventory.
- Use data analytics and forecasting models to predict future needs and align resources accordingly.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to inventory management, including shrinkage, obsolescence, and stock imbalances.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Provide regular reporting and insights to senior leadership on inventory trends, KPIs, and operational performance.

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred) with 5 or more years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or supply chain strategy, or equivalent combination of both.
- Strong knowledge of forward-staging warehouse models, logistics, and distribution practices.
- Proficiency in ERP/WMS systems and advanced Excel/data analytics tools.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
