Join our team at Wasatch Behavioral Health as a Part-Time Autism Aide with the GIANT Steps Preschool Program in Orem, Utah! GIANT Steps is a specialized day-treatment program that partners with local school districts to provide evidence-based, individualized services in a structured classroom environment. As an Autism Aide, you'll work alongside therapists, educators, and families to help children build communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills that support lifelong success.Schedule: Tuesday-Friday, 9:00 AM–3:30 PM (hours may vary)Compensation: $17.50–$22.17 DOEAbout Us: Wasatch Behavioral HealthWasatch Behavioral Health is a local government agency dedicated to providing compassionate, accessible mental health and substance-use services. We value collaboration, innovation, empathy, and creating a workplace where both clients and employees can thrive.What You'll Do as an Autism AidSupport preschool-aged children with autism during classroom and therapeutic activities.Assist with implementing individualized treatment and behavior support plans under the direction of the clinical team.Use evidence-based strategies such as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), TEACCH, PECS, social stories, and naturalistic teaching techniques.Encourage communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, and daily living skills through structured activities and play.Monitor client progress and document observations to support treatment goals.Collaborate with therapists, teachers, and families to provide consistent, high-quality care.Help maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment where children can thrive.QualificationsHigh School Diploma/GEDStrong communication and interpersonal abilitiesPatience, empathy, and professionalism when working with young childrenAbility to follow established guidelines and adapt to changing needsExperience with children or individuals with special needs preferredPositive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learnSpanish speakers may qualify for a wage increaseApply TodayReady to make a real impact?
