Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search is proud to partner with a prestigious South Florida law firm in its search for an experienced Commercial Litigation Paralegal. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected litigation team handling sophisticated and complex commercial matters in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Assist attorneys throughout all phases of complex commercial litigation.
- Draft, review, and organize pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and correspondence.
- Manage large case files, maintain litigation calendars, and monitor critical deadlines.
- Coordinate document production, review, and organization for discovery.
- Prepare exhibits, witness binders, trial notebooks, and mediation/arbitration materials.
- File documents electronically in both Florida State and Federal Courts.
- Coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial logistics.
- Conduct legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and online court resources.
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and vendors.
- Support attorneys during trial preparation and attend trial when needed.
- Minimum 5+ years of commercial litigation paralegal experience in a law firm.
- Strong knowledge of Florida State and Federal Court procedures and e-filing.
- Trial preparation experience is highly preferred.
- Experience handling complex litigation matters from inception through trial.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
