Security Personnel

This position is Friday, Saturday and Sunday 6:00pm to 6:30am.

JOB SUMMARY

Under general supervision from the Supervisor of Security/Safety, the Security & Safety Guard leads a variety of duties with regard to maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors, and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel on the Glencroft campus. The incumbent will have a wide latitude for independent decisions and will exercise discretionary judgment. Must possess a genuine interest in and concern for geriatric, chronically ill, and/or disabled persons. Must be able to fluently communicate in or to take or give direction or guidance in the English language

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Regular attendance is considered an essential function of this position and is necessary for the efficient operation of the business.
2. Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points.
3. Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; escort trespassers off campus.
4. Maintains secure environment by performing scheduled lock up and unlocks of campus buildings.
5. Assists residents in emergency situations, contacts EMS as required and allow EMS entry into residential units to access and assist residents.
6. Completes all DAR logs and checklists.
7. Submits all work order requests through the Worxhub and Web Help Desk
8. Works with other Security & Safety staff, as well as all other staff, to properly monitor campus.
9. Completes required Event Reports by thorough documentation through recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.
10. Complies will all federal, state, and local standards and requirements.
11. Required to support the command center and all other security and safety areas in the event of an emergency as requested.
12. Performs other duties as required.
