Compensation:

$50,000 - $60,000 depending on experience


Responsibilities:

What You'll Do

As our Family Law Paralegal, you'll play a vital role in keeping cases organized, clients informed, and attorneys prepared. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will help ensure every matter moves forward efficiently and with care.

Case Management & Litigation Support

  • Draft, review, and file family law pleadings, including petitions, responses, motions, discovery, parenting plans, and other legal documents using firm templates

  • Prepare, organize, and manage discovery requests and responses

  • Monitor court deadlines, hearings, mediations, and appeal deadlines to ensure nothing is missed

  • Maintain organized, audit-ready electronic case files from client intake through final resolution

  • Prepare trial notebooks, exhibit binders, mediation materials, and hearing packets

  • Coordinate scheduling, docket management, and timely notification of all parties

Client & Attorney Support

  • Serve as a knowledgeable, professional, and compassionate point of contact for clients

  • Respond to client communications promptly, with a goal of replying within one business day

  • Help clients prepare for depositions, mediations, hearings, and other case milestones

  • Provide comprehensive litigation support to attorneys before, during, and after hearings and trials

  • Keep clients informed throughout their case, helping them feel supported and confident every step of the way

Research, Billing & Workflow Management

  • Conduct factual and legal research, summarizing findings into clear, actionable information for attorneys

  • Record accurate daily time entries in accordance with firm billing practices and expectations

  • Support the client intake process, perform conflict checks, coordinate e-filing, and manage service of process

  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, increase efficiency, and strengthen firm operations as we continue to grow

  • Maintain up-to-date calendars, task lists, and case notes to ensure deadlines are met and every matter stays on track


Qualifications:

What You'll Bring:

We're looking for someone who combines strong legal expertise with exceptional organization and genuine compassion

for clients.

You'll be successful in this role if you have:

  • 4+ years of paralegal experience, with family law experience strongly preferred

  • Solid knowledge of family law procedures, the rules of civil procedure, and electronic court filing systems

  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, or equivalent professional experience

  • A paralegal certificate or other relevant credentials

  • Outstanding organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail

  • The ability to communicate with professionalism, empathy, and confidence

  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and case management software such as Clio or similar platforms
