Job Description

About the role

Start your driving career with a role designed for new CDL A holders in the Dayton, OH area. 365 Freight USA is hiring recent graduates and newly licensed CDL A drivers for a paid 4–6 week mentor training program. You will ride and work alongside an experienced driver, learn the day-to-day flow of professional trucking, and then transition into solo driving. After training, drivers can earn $1,600–$1,800 weekly with full benefits.

What we offer

  • Paid training throughout the 4–6 week mentor period.
  • Weekly earnings of $1,600–$1,800 after training.
  • Direct deposit for weekly pay.
  • Full benefits available after training completion.
  • A structured starting opportunity for recent CDL A graduates to move from the classroom into real-world driving.
  • Practical, on-the-road guidance from an experienced mentor before taking on solo driving responsibilities.

What you'll be doing

  • Complete a 4–6 week paid mentor training period that includes learning daily driving routines, working with an experienced driver, and preparing to transition into solo driving.
  • Drive with your mentor while assisting with pickups and deliveries and learning how to manage loads safely and efficiently.
  • Follow safe driving practices, complete required vehicle and cargo checks, and develop consistent habits for professional over-the-road operations.
  • Gain hands-on experience with trip flow, communication, and decision-making as you progress from a recent graduate to an independent driver.

What we're looking for

  • Safety-first mindset: consistently follow DOT requirements, company procedures, and safe driving practices.
  • Reliability: be punctual, maintain schedules, and handle responsibilities consistently during training and once driving solo.
  • Coachability: be open to feedback from your mentor and willing to learn through real-time instruction on the road.
  • Strong communication: maintain clear, timely contact with your mentor and dispatch, ask questions when needed, and communicate clearly about trip status and issues.
