About the Role:

The Dental Assistant position is integral to the smooth operation of our dental practice. The successful candidate will play a key role in a proactive approach to patient education, quality care, compliance with health and dental regulations in a welcoming environment.

Job Description

• Assist during examinations and procedures, with four-handed dentistry techniques. Mix materials and cements, place rubber dam, suction, take dental impressions, fit space maintainers, take digital x-rays, etc.
• Prepare and maintain the treatment area, including sterilization of instruments and infection control protocols.
• Manage and monitor sedated patients.
• Manage dental and medical documentation and maintain accurate dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Provide exceptional customer service by educating patients on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care instructions and addressing any other patient inquiries

Qualifications:

• Certification in dental assisting
• Basic knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
• Excellent communication skills, and FLUENT in both English and Spanish
• Previous experience with Dentrix is a PLUS, but not required
• Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
