We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented ATLAS Paralegal to serve as a vital first point of contact for clients seeking legal assistance. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside dedicated attorneys and program leaders to ensure high-quality, compassionate legal support reaches those who need it most.


What You'll Do

As an ATLAS Paralegal, you will play a key role in connecting clients to critical legal services by:

  • Receiving and processing referrals for legal assistance
  • Conducting intake and initial client interviews with professionalism and empathy
  • Evaluating and organizing client information to determine eligibility for services
  • Collaborating with attorneys, program directors, and regional staff to ensure efficient case handling
  • Maintaining accurate and thorough documentation of client interactions
  • Helping ensure every eligible client receives timely and appropriate legal support
Requirements:

We’re seeking candidates who are compassionate, organized, and knowledgeable about legal systems, especially as they impact underserved communities.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma (or equivalent)
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience
  • Working knowledge of:
    • Legal principles and terminology
    • Legal research methods
    • Court systems and procedures
    • Legal issues affecting low-income populations

Preferred (but not required):

  • Associate’s degree or Paralegal Certificate
