Pharmacy Courier & Clerk Job Description
**2-3 days per week, delivering in Tucker County and surrounding coummunities.
A Pharmacy Courier is responsible for the secure and timely transport of prescription medications and medical supplies to patients, satellite clinics, and community partners. This role is critical to the FQHC mission of expanding healthcare access to underserved populations.
Pharmacy Courier Job Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations to limit drug diversion
Deliver pre-bagged prescriptions, over the counter products, supplies and pharmacy equipment, and perform logistics for Pharmacy Deliveries.
o Ensure payment, contact delivery patients, load iPad with delivery documents, prep cooler, develop route, contact SGCV Pharmacy to add to delivery list, settle payments with the point-of-sale register, and other needed tasks
o Coordinate with pharmacy staff, respecting patient confidentiality
o Follows Pharmacy policies and procedures
o Post office and bank supply transports for pharmacy
Serves patients and Pharmacy coworkers by performing clerical tasks
o Provide customer service at the register, search for completed prescriptions, maintain OTC area, checking for outdates, dust shelves, HIPPA compliance, stock incoming orders, and housekeeping as needed.
Maintain company vehicle by coordinating with CEO for basic maintenance, fluids, tires, inspections, etc.
Other duties as assigned by Administration
Daily schedule approved and supplied by Pharmacy Director

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Current/Valid Drivers license
Clean Driving Record
Current CPR certification
Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality and respect the privacy of others
Honor HIPAA laws and regulations
Familiarity with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, OSHA) and a commitment to the FQHC mission
Physical & Mental Requirements
Ability to lift and carry up to 2550 pounds occasionally.
Ability Capability to drive for long periods (up to 8 hours) with frequent stops.
Ability to pass background screenings and random drug tests
Standing: up to 100% of shift
Walking: up to 100% of shift
Will stoop, bend, and reach frequently
Must be able to type
Must be able to read for extended periods of time
Working Environment/Physical Hazards:
Work in well-lit environment
Possible exposure to drug vapors or particles
Possible exposure to potentially hazardous chemicals
Due to the nature of this position, the employee may be required to travel and perform deliveries during periods of inclement weather, including, but not limited to, snow, ice, heavy rain, or high winds. The employee is expected to make a reasonable effort to perform their duties safely. In the event travel becomes too hazardous to travel/walk, the employee should contact their supervisor immediately.
