Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join a growing team in Wyoming, IL. This position is responsible for coordinating and processing outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring products are packaged and delivered accurately and on time. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare, package, and process outgoing shipments.
- Create and verify shipping documents, labels, and packing slips.
- Ensure orders are accurate and complete prior to shipment.
- Coordinate shipments and pickups with carriers and transportation providers.
- Maintain accurate inventory, shipping, and receiving records.
- Assist with receiving incoming materials and verifying deliveries.
- Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, as needed.
- Communicate with production and warehouse personnel regarding shipping schedules and priorities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills and experience with data entry.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and understand shipping documentation.
- Forklift experience or certification is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
