Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Special Education Teacher endorsement is required
  • Previous experience in a K-12 special education classroom preferred
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Commitment to differentiating instruction and creating inclusive learning experiences
  • Excellent ability to collaborate with educators, families, and specialists

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and small group instruction aligned with students’ IEPs
  • Develop and monitor educational programs tailored to diverse learning needs
  • Collect and analyze student data to guide instruction and measure progress
  • Foster an inclusive, positive classroom environment promoting student growth
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Adapt materials and methodologies to ensure accessibility for all learners
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations

This contract position offers a consistent schedule: full-time hours, five days per week during the academic year, and the opportunity to work with students across various grade levels.
