CAD DrafterOwn Your Future at PsomasJoin a 100% employee-owned firm built for long-term thinking, shared success, and meaningful impact.As our CAD Drafter for our Survey & Geospatial team in Tucson, you'll play a key role in supporting survey projects by producing high-quality mapping and drafting deliverables, collaborating with project surveyors, and contributing to a wide variety of infrastructure projects.Why PsomasShared Success: An ownership culture that rewards long-term thinking and doing what's right.Retirement Benefits: Company-funded ESOP + 401(k) with immediate match.Career Growth: Structured career pathing, mentorship, and leadership development opportunities.People-First Culture: Collaborative teams that value diverse perspectives and invest in your development.Meaningful Work: High-impact projects across utilities, transportation, aviation, rail, and land development.What You'll DoAs a CAD Drafter, you'll support survey teams by preparing accurate drafting deliverables, maintaining department drafting standards, and helping ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule.Survey Drafting & MappingPrepare preliminary and final maps, Records of Survey, Corner Records, Site Plans, ALTA Surveys, 3D exhibits, and digital data files using Civil 3D, Carlson AutoCAD, and other CAD software.Drawing Revisions & Project SupportModify survey drawings as directed by project managers and project surveyors while supporting project teams to meet schedules and deliverables.Quality & StandardsArrange survey drawings to comply with established state, city, county, and client standards while helping maintain department drafting standards, file organization, and project naming conventions.Base Mapping & Data PreparationAssist with creating base survey drawings from project scope and support the processing and organization of survey data and electronic files.Team CollaborationWork closely with project surveyors and other team members to support multiple projects, prioritize assignments, and contribute to successful project delivery.Required Qualifications3-5 years of professional experience utilizing CAD softwareProficiency with Civil 3D, Carlson AutoCAD, or similar CAD drafting platformsStrong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate technical drawingsAbility to manage multiple assignments while working effectively in a collaborative team environmentPreferred QualificationsKnowledge of land surveying, civil engineering, architectural, structural, and geospatial terminologyExperience with GIS, Revit, and InRoadsExperience processing field survey data and electronic filesCompensation & BenefitsHourly Range: $29.00 - $39.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)Incentives: Discretionary performance bonus programTime Off: 3 weeks PTO plus 8 paid holidaysTotal Rewards: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your family, along with employee ownership and retirement benefits.Our Hiring ApproachOur recruiting team reviews every application personally and will keep candidates informed throughout the process.
