Rimforest Animal Hospital, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Associate Veterinarian to provide outstanding veterinary care to the animals and communities we serve.

Position Summary

The Associate Veterinarian will deliver compassionate, quality medical care for a wide range of patients while supporting the hospital’s clinical standards. This role combines strong diagnostic and treatment skills with a patient-first approach and clear, empathetic communication with pet owners.

In this position, you will work collaboratively with the veterinary team and support staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, thoughtful case management, and consistent follow-through on medical plans. We are offering part-time or full-time employment with no weekend hours, providing an excellent work–life balance in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive patient examinations and develop diagnostic and treatment plans in line with clinical best practices

  • Provide high-quality medical, surgical, and preventive care while prioritizing patient safety and comfort

  • Communicate diagnoses, treatment options, and recommended next steps clearly and professionally to pet owners

  • Collaborate with the veterinary team to manage cases, coordinate follow-ups, and support continuity of care

  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records and uphold established clinical protocols

Required Qualifications
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree or equivalent veterinary medical credential

  • Active and valid veterinary licensure to practice in the state where care is provided

  • Strong clinical judgment, diagnostic ability, and commitment to evidence-informed care

  • Professional communication skills with the ability to explain medical information to pet owners clearly

  • A team-oriented mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a small animal or general practice setting

  • Demonstrated comfort handling a variety of routine and urgent cases

  • Experience with preventive care programs and client education focused on long-term health

  • Strong organization and follow-through for medical documentation and follow-up planning

  • A compassionate, calm approach that helps reduce stress for patients and families

Compensation

We offer a competitive compensation package that includes:

  • Annual salary: $120,000.00 - $160,000.00
