Electrician

MCAFEE ELECTRIC INC. is seeking an Electrician to support onsite electrical installations and maintenance in Hopkinsville, KY.

Position Summary

The Electrician will perform a variety of electrical installation, troubleshooting, and repair tasks to ensure systems are safe, code-compliant, and operating efficiently. This role supports both planned work and responsive maintenance needs across residential or commercial environments.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and able to read and interpret electrical plans and technical guidance. You will work independently and with a team to complete work accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable electrical standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, components, and wiring in accordance with established standards and project requirements

• Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate diagnostic methods and equipment, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions

• Read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and specifications to support accurate installation and maintenance work

• Perform electrical work safely, following all site safety rules, lockout/tagout practices, and safe work procedures

• Ensure completed work meets code requirements and documents job progress as needed

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience performing electrical installation and/or maintenance work

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, basic wiring practices, and safe electrical work procedures

• Ability to read and follow electrical diagrams, schematics, and job instructions

• Demonstrated commitment to safety and the ability to work reliably onsite

• Willingness to work full-time onsite at 415 E 14th St, Hopkinsville, KY 42240-3501

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with working across residential and/or commercial electrical environments

• Experience with troubleshooting electrical systems and performing repairs with minimal supervision

• Experience contributing to projects with quality checks, proper documentation, and attention to detail

• Ability to coordinate with team members and communicate clearly about job status and findings
