Schedule
- Four 10-hour day shifts
- No nights or weekends
- Shared paid call rotation
Position Overview
Join a collaborative oncology team providing comprehensive cancer care in a primarily outpatient setting with occasional inpatient consults. You'll work alongside experienced oncologists and infusion nurses while caring for patients receiving chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and supportive oncology services.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage oncology patients in outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Manage chemotherapy and supportive oncology care.
- Perform procedures within NP/PA scope of practice.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis and treatment.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice.
Qualifications
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Active Oregon License (or willingness to obtain).
- NP Candidates: AONCP Certification (or in process).
- Oncology NP/PA experience preferred.
- Clean malpractice history.
- Eligible for credentialing.
- Demonstrated ties to Oregon preferred.
