We are seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers for multiple full-time openings for the 2026–2027 school year. Opportunities are available across a variety of self-contained classroom settings serving students with diverse learning, behavioral, and support needs.

Students with moderate cognitive impairments

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Level 1
Students functioning on grade level with minimal support needs

Students requiring a moderate level of support

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Level 3
Students requiring intensive behavioral and educational support

Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals
- Manage and support self-contained special education classrooms
- Collaborate with related service providers and support staff
- Participate in IEP meetings and progress monitoring
- Maintain compliance with state and district requirements
- Foster academic, behavioral, social, and functional growth
Support & Resources
- Special Education case management support
- Learning Disabilities Teacher-Consultants (LDTCs) available
- Newly expanded behavioral support team
- Lower student-to-teacher ratios in many specialized programs
- District-developed curriculum and instructional resources
Qualifications
must hold:
- New Jersey Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD) endorsement or
- New Jersey Teacher of the Handicapped (TOH) endorsement
AND
A valid New Jersey primary teaching certification aligned with the grade level and/or subject area being taught.
