Happy Hearts Playcare | Cedar Point, NC
Happy Hearts Playcare is looking for a dependable, caring, and energetic childcare professional to join our team! We are seeking someone who enjoys working with children, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable opening or closing the center while following established routines.
This is not a management or supervisory position. You will work alongside our leadership team and help provide exceptional care for children while keeping daily operations running smoothly.
Schedule
- Four-day work week
- Approximately 32 to 40 hours per week
- Rotating Saturdays required
- Must have flexibility to work opening and closing shifts
Responsibilities
- Welcome children and families each day
- Supervise and engage children through play and daily activities
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment
- Follow established classroom routines and center policies
- Assist with meals, snacks, diapering, toileting, and cleaning
- Open or close the center independently by following established procedures
- Communicate professionally with parents during drop-off and pick-up
- Support the leadership team with daily operations
- Work collaboratively with coworkers to create a positive environment
Qualifications
- Previous childcare experience required
- Dependable and punctual
- Calm under pressure
- Excellent communication skills
- Comfortable working independently while following established procedures
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Able to lift up to 40 pounds and actively participate in children’s activities
- CPR and First Aid Certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Important Information
- This position includes rotating Saturdays.
- Due to the nature of our program, employees may not bring their own children while working scheduled shifts.
- Curriculum planning, staff leadership, and program development are handled by the leadership team. This position focuses on providing excellent care, maintaining routines, and ensuring children have a fun, safe, and engaging day.
