Instructional Aide

Garnet Educational Services is searching for an in-home (6 hours per day) Instructional Assistant/Para Professional to work with a student attending online classes at their home in Hollidaysburg, PA.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Sit with and assistant student during virtual classes (at home), during school day (6 hours per day)
• Redirect and encourage focus/keep student attentive during live classes
• Facilitate class attendance and participation while in class
• Assist with organizational skills and planning for the school week
• Work with behavioral support team to implement behavioral strategies
• Keep daily log detailing student progress

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years' post-secondary education OR earned an associate's degree or higher
• Preferred experience working in a school district, with school aged students or with individuals with special needs
• Must pass all background checks/clearances for criminal history and child abuse and other school requirements.
