Job Description

We are seeking an Estate Planning & Probate Paralegal to join our team and help provide high-quality, thoughtful legal services to our clients.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is organized, driven, detail-oriented, and enjoys working with people. Whether you have experience in the legal field or are looking to bring your skills into a new professional career, we're looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, learns quickly, and genuinely cares about helping others.

In this role, you'll work directly with attorneys and clients throughout the estate planning and probate process. You'll help prepare important legal documents, manage client matters, keep cases moving forward, and serve as a trusted point of contact for clients during some of life's most important—and sometimes most difficult—moments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation and drafting of estate planning documents, including Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, Health Care Directives, and Deeds.
  • Assist with the preparation of probate documents, including petitions, accountings, inventories, and related filings.
  • Meet and communicate with clients to gather relevant personal, financial, and legal information.
  • Manage client matters from start to finish, helping ensure documents, deadlines, and next steps are handled accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain organized and accurate client files and records.
  • Communicate with clients in a warm, professional, and empathetic manner.
  • Research legal and procedural questions as needed.
  • Support attorneys in preparing for estate planning signings and probate hearings.
  • Work closely with attorneys and other team members to provide an excellent client experience.

What We're Looking For:

We're looking for someone who brings a strong combination of people skills, organization, initiative, and attention to detail.

You may be a great fit if you:

  • Have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Are highly organized and comfortable managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Have strong attention to detail and take pride in producing accurate work.
  • Learn quickly and enjoy developing new skills.
  • Take initiative and don't need to be reminded of every next step.
  • Are comfortable working independently while also being part of a collaborative team.
  • Can adapt when priorities change and maintain a sense of urgency when needed.
  • Are confident communicating with clients and team members.
  • Enjoy solving problems and moving projects forward.
  • Have a genuine desire to provide thoughtful and caring service to clients.

The Person Who Will Thrive Here

Our ideal team member is:

  • Independent — You take ownership of your responsibilities.
  • Driven — You enjoy accomplishing goals and getting results.
  • Confident — You're comfortable communicating, asking questions, and speaking up when needed.
  • Decisive — You can evaluate what needs to happen and take action.
  • Adaptable — You can shift gears and stay productive when priorities change.
  • Compassionate — You understand that the work we do is deeply personal to our clients.

Experience in a law firm, estate planning, probate, or a similar professional environment is certainly valuable, but we're also open to candidates who have built strong transferable skills in another field and are ready for a new challenge.

If you're looking for an opportunity to grow professionally, learn the estate planning and probate field, and become an important part of a team that helps families plan for their futures, we'd love to meet you.
