Borenstein, McConnell & Calpin, P.C. is a fast-paced, active law firm located in Springfield, NJ, serving clients throughout the NJ/NY metropolitan area. We are seeking a Paralegal to join our team and provide vital support across a range of legal disciplines, including commercial litigation, corporate, and real estate matters.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated paralegal to gain hands-on experience and rapidly expand their skill set in a dynamic, high-volume practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal research to support legal proceedings
  • Assist with using JEDS and other court notice systems
  • Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents (litigation, corporate, real estate, and transactional matters)
  • Investigate facts to assist in the litigation and negotiation of disputes
  • Monitor deadlines and ensure compliance with state and federal legal requirements
  • Maintain and manage client records and case files
  • Assist with phone communication
  • Collaborate with attorneys and administrative staff on case preparation and firm projects

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a paralegal or in another legal support role
  • Proficient in legal research and understanding of legal procedures
  • Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks under deadlines
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Tech-savvy, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Lexis-Nexis, and cloud-based document systems
