TAX SENIOR MANAGER

Our firm is seeking a talented tax manager ranging with 5+ years of experience to add to our growing tax team. We offer a flexible work environment to meet your needs as well as the support of traditional office spaces at both of our locations (Greenville, SC or Anderson, SC).


Location: Greenville or Anderson office


Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee the preparation and review of tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and other entities.
  • Review work papers and tax returns prepared by staff to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage client relationships and engagements for an assigned group of clients.
  • Identify and resolve complex tax issues during the preparation and filing processes.
  • Review and oversee tax returns and ensure accuracy and adherence to regulations.
  • Keep abreast of changes in tax laws, regulations, and industry trends to provide proactive and up-to-date advice to clients.
  • Assist in developing comprehensive tax strategies to help clients minimize their tax liability and maximize business opportunities.
  • Provide ongoing advice to clients on tax-related business decisions, guiding them through complex tax scenarios.
  • Oversee the resolution of tax notices and audits, liaising with IRS or state agencies when necessary.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of tax professionals, providing guidance on both technical and professional matters.
  • Collaborate with Firm leadership to continually develop the Firm’s tax practice strategy as a member of the Firm’s leadership group.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA certification required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax.
  • Significant experience in managing a team of staff and senior tax accountants
  • Experience with CCH Engagement and Axcess Tax a plus
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
  • Proven experience in tax planning, compliance, and advisory services for diverse clients.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
