Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented BILINGUAL SPANISH Workers’ Compensation Paralegal with 1–3 years of experience to join its growing legal team. Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with all aspects of workers’ compensation matters from inception through resolution.
- Open and maintain case files, ensuring accuracy and organization.
- Draft correspondence, pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents.
- Request, review, and organize medical records, employment records, and wage information.
- Communicate with clients, insurance carriers, medical providers, opposing counsel, and the Workers’ Compensation Board.
- Schedule hearings, depositions, IMEs, and client appointments.
- Maintain attorney calendars and monitor case deadlines.
- Prepare hearing and trial exhibits, witness files, and case summaries.
- Update case management software and maintain detailed case notes.
- Provide exceptional client service while managing a high-volume caseload.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of workers’ compensation paralegal experience required.
- Knowledge of workers’ compensation procedures and terminology.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal case management software.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with New York workers’ compensation matters is a plus.
- Notary Public certification is a plus.
