Tax Manager - CPA Firm

We are looking for a CPA, an experienced tax professional, to fill a tax manager position with the expertise, knowledge, experience and skills to work with clients to meet their tax, accounting and consulting needs.

Experience/Knowledge

• Knowledge of Federal and state income tax laws
• Ability to review tax returns
• Ability to communicate, both verbally and written, clearly and effectively
• Attention to detail with the ability to multi-task

Responsibilities

• Review of federal and state tax returns for individuals, businesses, non-profits, trusts and estates
• Prepare written correspondence and other documents for submission to the IRS and other tax authorities
• Train staff and review their work
• Manage multiple clients and budgets

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• CPA Certification
• 5+ years prior tax experience in public accounting
• Supervisory experience
• Experience reviewing individual, business, non-profit tax returns
• Strong accounting and analytical skills
• Strong computer skills: Tax software (UltraTax preferable), Excel, Word
• Excellent interpersonal skills working with other staff and clients, oral and written communication
• Detail oriented
• Ability to multi-task with a strong work ethic
