Responsibilities
- Perform fitness assessments and re-assessments
- Design customized training programs based on clients’ goals, abilities, and health considerations
- Deliver one-on-one and/or small group training sessions
- Coach proper exercise form, safety, and technique
- Assess clients’ fitness levels and track their progress over time
- Motivate and guide clients to achieve their personal fitness goals
- Build and maintain strong client relationships for long-term success
- Maintain a clean and professional training space and facility
- Contribute to a welcoming and encouraging environment
- Collaborate with fellow trainers and staff on programming and events
- Be present on the floor and actively engage with members
- Support in promoting training services to members and prospects
- Participates in all meetings and trainings that require the presence of a Personal Trainer, deemed by Director of Fitness
- Any other tasks assigned by supervisor
- Optional: assist with social media content or training videos
Requirements
- Nationally recognized Personal Training Certification (NASM, ACE, ISSA, ACSM, etc.)
- CPR/AED Certified (or able to obtain within 30 days)
- Strong communication and people skills
- Energetic, positive, and encouraging attitude
- Willingness to grow and learn as a fitness professional
- Reliable and professional work ethic
- Passion for health, fitness, and helping others
- Ability to lift heavy items
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, body mechanics, and program design
- [Major Bonus]: Experience in coaching bootcamp style classes (H.I.I.T.) and/or experience with small group or semi-private training
