We're recruiting for a hands-on Senior Production Manager to join a leading food manufacturer in Newark, NJ. Reporting directly to the COO, this is a highly visible leadership role responsible for driving production performance across multiple manufacturing facilities. You'll spend your time on the plant floor leading teams, improving processes and delivering operational excellence in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do

• Lead daily operations across multiple production facilities and a frozen distribution warehouse
• Drive production performance, throughput and operational efficiency
• Lead and develop large multi-shift production teams
• Ensure efficient conversion of raw materials into finished products
• Identify production bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement initiatives
• Partner with Maintenance to improve equipment reliability and plant uptime
• Ensure compliance with USDA, SQF and food safety standards
• Lead SQF and third-party audit preparation
• Train, coach and develop production teams
• Support operational growth and future site expansion

What We're Looking For

• Proven leadership experience within a food manufacturing or food processing environment
• Experience managing large production teams in high-volume manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of USDA regulations, SQF and food safety standards
• Experience improving production performance and operational efficiency
• ERP system experience (SAP, NetSuite or SAP Business One preferred)
• Hands-on leadership style with a continuous improvement mindset
